Terms and Conditions

Please read our terms and conditions and privacy policy carefully. By purchasing a product from our store, booking into a sensory playgroup session, or booking a private hire play session, you agree to our terms and conditions. Updated 16/2/2024

Product and Services

We offer a range of products and services, including but not limited to those booked and purchased by this site or social media websites.

Sensory Play Events

We host casual play days, most commonly referred to as “messy play” events, during school holidays and occasionally weekends. Messy/Sensory play events are large-scale, open-ended play experiences, offered to children 6months to 6 years. These sessions are capped at 30 children. Please consider this when booking.

Private Events

We host private events, for birthday parties, local council, private enterprise, etc. Private events are discussed on an individual basis.

Bookings must be made two weeks in advance

 

A $60 deposit is required to secure the date and purchase materials. 

It will be deducted from the total cost.  if the customer cancels the event deposit will not be refunded.

Other Information

Our services deliver a range of play-based learning experiences. These experiences comprise of, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • food based products

  • artificial food colouring and other coloured dyes

  • small pieces and loose parts,

  • Breakables, such as glass, ceramics, pottery, etc.

  • Paints

  • Playdough

  • Natural and artificial elements

Playdough

Our playdough is homemade, packaged in a glass jar, with the minimum product weight of 250g. Our playdough is made from high quality food grade ingredients and food dyes, including flour, salt, vegetable oil, creme of tartar.

Sensory Rice

Our sensory rice is homemade, packaged in a resealable bag, with the minimum product weight of 500g. Our sensory rice is made from high food grade ingredients and food dye.

 

Potion Fizz Dust

Our Potion fizzle dust is homemade, packaged in a resealable bag, with the minimum product weight of 250g. Our fizzle dust is made from high food grade ingredients and food dye, may include citric acid, bicarbonate soda, corn flour, coconut oil, etc.

Other

We also provide a range of products sourced by third-party providers. For individual information, please refer to the descriptions or consider contacting suppliers directly.

 

Our Potion Fizz dust, play dough and rice are made using food-based ingredients. Although it is made using food-based ingredients, it is made for play only, not made for consumption. A responsible adult should supervise products at all times, and the product is recommended for ages 3+ years.

Conditions of Entry

Security

We are in no way responsible for your personal belongings or items. We are not able to provide secure places to store such, therefore it is recommended that anything considered valuable remain at home. 

​

Digital Content

Photos, videos, live streams and other forms of digital content will be taken while on our premises. This may include images of yourself and your children unless expressly stated otherwise.

 

The above-mentioned digital content may be shared on all methods of social media.

 

On occasion, professional photographers are invited for content and marketing purposes. Once a media release consent form has been completed, you are welcome to obtain copies upon request.

If you do not want your photos taken, please communicate to staff before session.

Personal Safety

When entering our premises, you understand and accept that your children are your responsibility at all times. Therefore, you are personally responsible for any injury or illness resulting from our products and / or services, not us.

 

We do not consider ourselves to be an allergy free environment and have no control over food products brought into our premises. If you or your child has allergies, please carefully consider or contact us before booking.

 

If your child has allergies, please contact us directly and we can make alternative sensory experiences. During all our sessions and products that can be purchased via our website, we offer a range of food-based and artificial resources to engage in play with. Although food-based resources are generally known as 'taste safe', it is meant for play and not consumption. Don't hesitate to contact us within four days of the booked session if you or your child has an allergy, and we will do our best to provide allergy-free products. 

 

​Care is taken to ensure our products are sent out in the perfect condition. If you receive a faulty item, please take a photo of the product as is and email your concerns to info@wollemisensoryplay.com.au 

Safety Disclaimer

Avoid contact with eyes. The product is for play, not for consumption. Due to the nature of the ingredients, Potion Mix fizz can irritate broken skin. Wash under running water if irritation occurs and refrain from fizz touching the skin. Parents should always take the fizz out of the bag.

 

Our Potion Fizz Mix, play dough and rice are made using food-based ingredients. Although it is made using food-based ingredients, it is made for play only, not made for consumption. A responsible adult should supervise products at all times, and the product is recommended for ages 3+ years. 

 

 

Sustainability at Mini Explorers , we firmly believe it’s stainability. We will endeavour to reuse, recycle re-purpose all products from our sensory play sessions.

 

 

Price and Payment

 

Change of Mind

In accordance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL), we are not required to give a refund or replacement if you change your mind about the service and / or product. Therefore, you are still liable for remitting all outstanding fees.

 

In extenuating circumstances, we reserve all rights and decision making whether to issue refunds or other forms of compensation. 

 

In such circumstances, a refund will only be permitted where:

 

  1. All classes are full and the program has reached capacity; and

  2. Reasonable notice has been given re: the cancellation or change of mind; and

  3. The position is able to be filled; and

  4. We incur no loss.  

 

We run outdoor/indoor sensory sessions. We do not cancel in light rain.

 

All session is prepaid.

 

If we need to cancel due to heavy rain and unsafe weather conditions or road closures. We will be in contact with you to reschedule your session spot. If you are uncomfortable playing in the rain or snow and have given us more than 24 hrs notice, you can make up your missed session at another session during the term. We do not offer refunds in the event of rain or snow. We also do our best to provide indoor sensory play sessions as an alternative—no refunds or rescheduling if we can offer indoor sensory sessions are offered. 

 

Children at Mini explorers in all types of weather. There is nothing they love more than jumping in muddy puddles and dancing in the rain. 

You will hear us say often...

 "There is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing"

Delivery

We aim to deliver our services in accordance with the specified timetable, schedules and advertisements. In the event our services cannot take place, we will endeavour to notify you within a timely manner. Please refer to Cancellation for further information.

 

In many cases, products are made to order, please refer to individual product descriptions for the expected delivery timeframe.

 

If you are unsatisfied with the delivery of your service and / or product, please contact us directly, in writing, to explain the problem or issue.

Cancellation

In the event of cancellation due to illness, injury or other unforeseen circumstances, you will be advised as soon as possible, and appropriate options made available to remedy the loss incurred by you.

 

Packages

By purchasing a monthly sessions package, you agree to our cancellation policy.  We do not offer refunds for change of mind. 

 

I

If you need to miss a session for an appointment or other reason, you are welcome to attend another session during the month to make up for your missed session only if you notify us 76 hours before your cancellation. Because we prepare our resources within 48 hrs of a session, we, therefore, cannot offer a refund, rescheduling or credit for any cancellations, including sickness and emergencies, within 24 hours of the session unless we can fill your spot off our cancellation list. If we can fill your spot, we will let you know and offer you to reschedule or another alternative.

Dispute Resolution Process

If you have a problem with the service or product being provided, you are required to contact us, in writing, to explain the problem or issue. We will make suitable attempts to provide a remedy within a reasonable timeframe.

Return, Refund and Exchange Policy 

We take the utmost care in ensuring our services and / or products are delivered in accordance with their advertised descriptions and information. Where the services and / or product is found to be defective, you will be entitled to a replacement or exchange, less cost of postage. Please contact us, in writing, including photographs of the defect.

 

However, by law, we are not required to exchange or refund if you change your mind about the service and / or product. If you have a problem with the service or product being provided, please contact us, in writing, to explain the problem or issue.

Shipping Policy 

All products are handmade, to order. Please allow 7-10 business days for dispatch. If your order requires more urgent fulfilment, please contact our team and we will endeavour to assist. We dispatch orders weekly, on Thursday and more frequently during busy periods. 

 Postage and pick up 

Orders are handmade on demand to ensure you receive the best quality version of our product. Once the order is placed, please allow three business days for the product to be made and set for delivery. If you have requested a custom order, please allow five business days for the product to be completed and placed for delivery. Cancellations can be made within two hours of an order for a full refund.

Personal Information will be collected in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

Except in circumstances where liability cannot be excluded by law, we (including employees and contractors) exclude all liability for any personal injury, loss or damage (including but not limited to loss of opportunity, loss of reputation or goodwill, loss of privacy or loss or corruption of information or data); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any from the delivery of our services and / or product. This includes but is not limited to any theft, unauthorised access or third-party interference.

 

This limitation of liability applies, even in circumstances where  Wollemi Sensory Play, has been expressly advised of potential loss.
